When it comes to outreach in teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to ethnic minorities, Texas Tech recently made the top 10 in a Forbes.com survey of the “Best Colleges for Minorities in STEM.”
Texas Tech ranked No. 7 out of 20 institutions ranked for minority outreach, beating Texas A&M, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which stood at No. 14 and No. 18 respectively.
Not too shabby...now to get TTU NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) more aligned with the school's efforts.
