Lubbock has 4G?
If you are like me, you thought only the major metropolitan areas could benefit from the faster 4G speeds that we have seen advertised heavily these past few months. That's not the case - even if you are in Lubbock, TX, you can enjoy broadband speeds all over town.
The crazy thing is, this service isn't provided by one of the big phone companies: not AT&T, not T-Mobile and not Sprint. To get 4G wireless internet, you have to go through Clear Wireless. Clear built the first WiMax 4G internet network and carriers like Sprint are piggybacking off of them to provide the service to subscribers.

So what's the big deal? Plans range from $35 to $85 a month, but the most expensive package might be overdoing it. However, for 60 bucks you can get faster internet in your home and access to the city-wide wireless for your laptop, smartphone and iPads. Feel free to check them out. The testimonials on the site lead me to believe that the representatives are nice people who will work with you to customize a plan that meets your needs. Also, if you call in the next 6 hours, you may qualify for a special offer.
